The only difference within this breed is based on the coat length and there is no such a thing as teacup or tiny breed. Sometimes a very small dog can occur, but it is not a type. These dogs may be from 1 lbs to 6 lbs and larger. They measure 6-9 inches high at the shoulder, and possess a strong body build. Despite their diminutive size, they appreciate daily exercise and love to run around the house. They do okay without a yard, but love to take walks with their owners. They cannot stand cold and appreciate a sweater on cooler days.

The dogs of this breed should not exceed 6 pounds in weight. They can be of two types: longhaired and smooth haired; all colors and patterns are permissible. The skull is well rounded, with or without molera, with a short muzzle and large eyes. Often such animals are abandoned and come to rescue organizations where you can find a lot of them. They often combine some traits of their ancestors and are very curious-looking and adaptable to any lifestyle. Besides, these dogs are very undemanding and people-oriented.
