This breed is famous for its cute look and saucy temperament. These dogs are very protective around their loved ones and can be extremely dog-aggressive. These dogs are very pretty, with saucy expression and terrier-like qualities. They are popular both as family companions and show dogs and make excellent therapy animals for the handicapped and elderly. The permissible weight is 1-6 pounds, but larger dogs of pet quality occur. There exist two varieties of the breed: longcoats and smoothcoats, but in the UK, these types are regarded as separate breeds. As for the coat color, every pattern is permissible, but solid tan and white are more popular. Chocolate, blue and silver colors are very rare.
