However, moleras make them very sensitive to head injuries, and even a seemingly slight trauma can be fatal. These dogs have a very delicate skeleton and are prone to dislocations and fractures. For this reason, they are not recommended for families with young children who may accidentally injure such a fragile dog. They should not be left around larger dogs without attendance either. These animals are famous for their sweet attitude toward their owners, and are excellent companions for the elderly. They also make good therapy dogs.

Chihuahua Name -
picture, rescue
This breed of dogs developed in the ancient Mexico and was named after the state. These dogs were worshiped by the Aztecs and the Toltecs. One of the most interesting features of the breed is a soft spot on the top of the head – molera. The molera was accepted as a mark of purity in the breed, and it is still mentioned in most standards for this breed the world over. The molera doesn’t suggest any medical problem, as it was thought for a long time. Learn where the chihuahua name comes from, and view a picture and profile of the dog in rescue.
